Hydroelectric power is extremely important to the Northwest and to us. More than 1,077 megawatts (MW) of our electrical generation comes from 50 hydro facilities. In using this resource, we manage river flows to meet a variety of needs. For most of our hydroelectric projects, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission balances these needs through their licensing process. In an effort to assist the recreation use and provide resource managers the opportunity to track specific river flows we provide flow information for specific projects through the following links.
These water management data are estimates of reservoir levels and river flows. Beware and use caution since actual river flows may be vastly different because of operational changes at the dams or due to weather conditions. Remember: These are estimates only and are subject to extreme change without notice.
