Evanston to Silver Creek

Project Overview

In response to the growing electrical demand by our customers in Summit County, Utah, our company is always working to provide safe, reliable and efficient service. We announced in spring of 2008 a transmission project formerly known as Thief Creek to Silver Creek – to improve electric service reliability and operational flexibility in the area. We later expanded the study area to include another possible route between Devil's Slide and Evanston, Wyoming. This route was included because of an existing transmission line.

Because the new proposed route now involves new end points, the name of the project need to change also. This project is now designated the Evanston to Silver Creek project.

Our company understands how important it is to develop this project in cooperation with area communities and residents, and to coordinate with the planning efforts of local, state and federal agencies. We're working to minimize impacts to the community and the environment from project development, construction and maintenance.

Check this Web site periodically for updated information, including the Evanston to Silver Creek project newsletter (PDF), map and fact sheet (PDF).
