PacifiCorp reopening 15,000 acres of managed wildlife habitat near Lewis River as fire danger eases

COUGAR, Wash. — With the area’s major fires no longer posing a threat, PacifiCorp has  reopened the 15,000 acres of land adjacent to the company’s Lewis River reservoirs that are managed for wildlife habitat and are usually open for hunting in the fall.

Last week, PacifiCorp re-opened several of the recreational facilities it maintains along the Lewis River reservoirs. Some facilities are closed for the season and others are temporarily closed due to construction. If you have any questions, please call our recreation line at 503-813-6666.

As always, PacifiCorp wants to emphasize safety for all visitors. Despite recent rains, anyone entering the area needs to be careful with any possible ignition sources.
