PacifiCorp operates 17 thermal electric facilities that generate electricity from coal, natural gas or geothermal resources. Thermal plants are located in Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon and Montana.
PacifiCorp's power plants use specialized equipment to control environmental emissions and comply with all state and federal requirements.
Blundell Geothermal Plant creates steam from water heated by magma at depths reaching as far as 20,000 feet below the Earth’s surface.
It sits on the Roosevelt Hot Springs, a known geothermal resource area near Milford, Utah.
