PacifiCorp operates thermal electric facilities that generate electricity from coal, natural gas and geothermal resources. Thermal plants are located in Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Oregon, Washington and Montana.
PacifiCorp's power plants use specialized equipment to control environmental emissions and comply with all state and federal requirements.
Geothermal
Blundell Geothermal Plant creates steam from water heated by magma at depths reaching as far as 20,000 feet below the Earth’s surface.
It sits on the Roosevelt Hot Springs, a known geothermal resource area near Milford, Utah.
