We are committed to using natural resources wisely and protecting our environment for the benefit of future generations. Green initiatives and investments will fall into the following categories:
- Renewable generation development
- Wind repowering
- Wind development and acquisition
- Solar
- Transmission development
- Projects that have the purpose of connecting renewable energy
Our pioneering commitment to renewable energy began in the early 1980s with a demonstration wind project on the southern Oregon coast, followed by an experimental utility-scale wind project in Wyoming in the 1990s. Renewable generation from company-owned and contracted solar and wind facilities represent an important and growing segment of our resource mix.
