Rogue River

PacifiCorp operates five developments in the Rogue River basin constructed between 1911 and 1957.

Each development and its licensed generation capacity are provided below:

• Prospect No. 1: 4.6 MW
• Prospect No. 2: 36 MW
• Prospect No. 3: 7.2 MW
• Prospect No. 4: 0.9 MW
• Eagle Point: 2.8 MW

The Prospect Nos. 1, 2, and 4 Hydroelectric Project (FERC Project No. 2630) is located in Jackson County, Oregon, on the Rogue River and two tributary streams approximately 45 miles northeast of Medford, Oregon, near the town of Prospect. The Project consists of three concrete diversion dams located on the Middle Fork Rogue River (Middle Fork dam), Red Blanket Creek (Red Blanket dam), and the Rogue River (North Fork dam). The dams divert water through approximately 9.25 miles of water conveyance system to a forebay. The forebay supplies water to the three powerhouses.

Water from a separate facility, Prospect No. 3 Hydroelectric Project (FERC Project No. 2337) on the South Fork (South Fork dam) of the Rogue River, is diverted into the Middle Fork canal after passing through the Prospect No. 3 powerhouse.

Eagle Point is located on the South Fork Big Butte River, approximately 14 miles northeast of Medford, Oregon. Water for the Eagle Point Irrigation District is diverted from the south fork of the Big Butte Creek, a tributary of the Rogue River. The conduit system owned by the District is 17.45 miles long. A 1,948 ft extension canal and forebay, along with a 1,934 ft steel penstock, deliver water to the powerhouse.
